Game 1 of this best of seven series was a great hockey game. If the rest of the series goes like this game it will be one of the best I’ve ever seen. Everyone was worried about the Flyers goaltending, after last night, the only question is if Robert Esche can play like that again. You can’t blame him at all for the loss. He stopped 55 of 58 shots. Even though the Sabres were given 9 powerplays, they didn’t score on any of them. It did hurt the Flyers though, it kept the Flyers from getting any forechecking going, having to kill off so many penalties. Can the Flyers win this series? I think so, but its going to take more goaltending like last night from Robert Esche, and less penalties. If R.J. Umbereger is back on the ice come game 2 I think that will give them a big lift. One more thing,, they have to take advantage of the chances when they get them.
