Ok so Kenny Rogers had something on his hand, what it was , pine tar, dirt hey I don’t know. Everybody wants to say he cheated, but like Tony LaRussa said, they still couldn’t hit him even after he was told to clean his hand by the Umpires. Putting a substance on a baseball is probably as old as baseball itself, check the history books. Look at it this way, in an age of juiced players, juiced balls, corked bats, smaller strike zones, and ball parks that a pop up is now a home run the pitcher needs some sort of advantage. If the baseball is hard to grip in cold weather, wouldn’t it make sense to shorten the season and play the fall classic in early to mid September when the weather is warmer than in late fall when it is closer to winter?
