Who would have thought about 2-3 months ago the 76ers would be riding a 7 game winning streak with a shot to make the playoffs. I have to admit I was one of those fans who wanted to see the Sixers keep losing so they had a better shot at getting the #1 pick in the draft. Watching them over the last few weeks my opinion on that has changed. I would like to see them keep winning and make the playoffs. The reasons for the change, there is no guarantee that they would get the first pick even if they kept losing, and there is no guarantee that either Kevin Durant or Greg Odon will be coming out early. you have to give Sixers G.M credit for the deal that sent Allen Iverson to the Denver Nuggets for Joe Smith and Andre Miller. Personally I didn’t think Billy King could handle the job. It looks now like I was wrong on that. Now if they do their homework they should do ok in the draft, but thats down the road, right now the business at hand is to try and make the playoffs, and like the way this post started, who would have thought that 2-3 months ago,not me. It safe to be a Sixers fan again.
