The Phildelphia Flyers, coming off their worst season in the history of the franchise, made changes during the off season and came up with a catchy slogan , The Philadelphia Flyers…Back with a vengence. Now being a Flyers fan I don’t think the people who came up with the slogan had any idea what was going to happen, that five player swould be suspended so far this season.

On Monday Flyers F Riley Cote became the fifth Flyer to be suspended for an illegal hit. Cote hit

a Dallas Star F Matt Niskanen in the head with an elbow and has been suspended by the NHL for three games. Here is a list of the other players that have been suspended.

Scott Hartnell -2 – Check to the Head

Randy Jones – 2 – Face First into the Boards

Jesse Boulerice – 25 – Hit to the Face

Steve Downie – 20 -Hit to the Head

The NHL also told the Flyers that anymore hits like these will not be tollerated. Which probably means anymore hits that result in suspensions and the organization will be fined. Have to see what happens with that. Like I said earlier I don’t think the people woh came up with back With A Vengence meant see how many players can get suspended this season. I don’t think Flyers fans will be seeing that again anytime soon.
