Its December and that means we are coming up to the end of another year. Here at The Sports Den we are going to list what we think are the Top 5 biggest sports flops of 2007. If you think The Sports Den missed something let us know. We have a tie for the #5 spot.
1. David Beckham – You have to admit that his coming to the U.S. to play soccer is the biggest flop of the year. He was over hyped and barely played at all. Not worth the money he got paid this year.
2. Ohio St. – They lost both National Championship Games, football in January, and basketball in April, to the same school, Florida.
3. Dallas Mavericks – Becoming the first #1 seed in the playoffs to lose to a #8 seed the Golden St. Warriors. Especially after finishing the season with the best record in the NBA,an dexpected to win it all.
4. New York Mets – For blowing a 7 game lead with 17 games left to play in September to lose the NL East Division and miss the playoffs.
5. Sergio Garcia – His final round of the 2007 British Open that should say it all.
5. Dennis Miller – His show Sports Unfiltered is a flop in The Sports Den’s opinion.
