With all of the talk over the last few months about whether or not Donovan McNabb will be the Eagles QB Next season here are some facts as to why The Sports Den says he will.

1. Despite what sports writers think Donovan McNabb says he wants to be here and expects to be here.

2. Andy Reid has said numerous time that McNabb will be his QB.

3. He is the best QB the Eagles have ever had, look up the numbers.

4. A.J. Feeley proved in the two games he started this year he is just a backup.

5. Kevin Kolb isn’t ready yet, he was drafted so when McNabb’s playing days are done the Eagles will have a QB ready to step in, and they won’t have to look for one. Who knows what will be out there when he is done playing.

6. He doesn’t have the deep threat that he needs. The WR that can get open down field. Look at the numbers he put up when he had T.O. and then Donte Stallworth. Those numbers put him up there with Peyton Manning and Tom Brady.

7. 4 NFC Title games and a Super Bowl.

8. They beat Dallas on Sunday 10-6.

No I wasn’t one of the fans that were there when the Eagles drafted McNabb and booed, no I didn’t like the pick, I thought they should’ve drafted Ricky Williams. But every time I criticise Andy Reid, just like drafting McNabb, I find out in the long run Reid knows what he is doing. If Reid didn’t pick McNabb and took Ricky Williams what would we be saying about Ricky Williams right now? The Eagles are having a bad year, it happens, one thing we have to remember, Eagles fans have been spoiled over the last seven or eight years, and #5 was a big part of that. Next year he should be completely healthy, and if they get him the receiver or receivers he needs then things will be back to normal.
