It was a slow day. Here are just a few oddball observations.

1. The Philadelphia 76ers and Philadelphia Flyers are both owned by the same people, and play in the same building. The 76ers are on a five game winning streak, while the Flyers are on a five game losing streak.

2. Something you don’t see too often, Joffrey Lupul of the Flyers last name is pronounced and spelled exactly the same frontwards and backwards.

3. Some Phillies players found T-shirts with a picture of a shirtless Pat Burrell lifting weights. Under the picture it said Man or Machine. Maybe instead of that they should have put last years slogan….”Goosebumps”. Would have been funnier.

4. Maybe this offseason the Philadelphia Eagles will spend just a little less time planning for the future and a little more time planning on winning the Super Bowl in 2008. Not that there is anything wrong with planning for the future. Just would like to see a Super Bowl Championship now.
