Its seems to The Sports Den that College recruiting is getting out of control. According to Rivals.com Billie Gillispie saw an eighth grader playing an an AAU tournament and decided to offer him a scholarship, an eighth grader? Shouldn’t the NCAA step in and do something about this? Recruiting players is very competitive, but this kid is still in grade school. Rivals.com asks the question, Should there be an age limit? Yes there should, you shouldn’t be allowed to talk to recruits until they are at least 17, that’s just The Sports Den’s opinion, but what do we know, the NCAA must think its ok.
