Since their collapse last year Mets G.M. Omar Minaya has become completely obsessed with the Phillies. All you have to do is look at his moves and you can see it.

1. They let go of Paul LoDuca and signed C Brian Schneider, the only team Schneider hits against is the Phillies.

2. They went out and got Johan Santana, a left handed ace just like Cole Hamels, and to shut down Chase Uttley and Ryan Howard.

3. They have former Phillies second baseman Marlon Anderson, former Phillies OF Edney Chavez, and former Phillies closer Billy Wagner.

3. The latest move firing Willie Randolph proves it even more, their new “interim manager” is named Manuel, just like the Phillies, Jerry Manuel that is. Former Phillie Lois Aguayo is now on their coaching staff.

Is it just a coincidence or an obsession?
