Ok the City of Pittsburgh took 2 from the City of Philadelphia. The Eagles drooped their opening preseason game to the Steelers. This loss didn’t really matter since it was just a preaseason game and doesn’t count. the Eagles starters looked good, and they came out of it without a serious injury which is all that matters right now. Don’t worry they play again for real during the regular season in Philly so the Eagles can get some revenge then.

The second loss is the one that mattered. The Phillies were shutout for the second consecutive game, this time by the Pirates 2-0. Joe Blanton did all he could pitching 7 shutout innings and only giving up 1 hit. The Phillies offense took the night off again, which is really starting to get old. Yeah, we know teams go through slumps but it just seems to happen way too much with the Phillies. Its a good thing its still August and not Septenmber. here’s hoping they snap out of it on Saturday.
