The Phillies took round 16 from the Mets 3-0 behind a masterpiece from Brett Myers. Myers went 8 innings giving up just 3 hits, striking out 10, and walking 2. maybe it was the trip down to the minors or maybe the little blow up with Charlie Manuel ,whatever it was Myers pitching over the last couple of games has been awesome. The Phillies scored in the first on a Chase utley ground out, and Myers made that stand up until Gregg Dobbs 2-run homer in the 7th inning to put the Phillies up 3-0. Lights out Lidge left the lights on just long enough to majke Phillies fans feel uncomfortable, but he did turn them off to pick up his 34th save in 34 tries. Thanks toTropical Strom Hanna Saturday’s round 17 has been postponed, most likely to be a day-night doubleheader on Sunday.
