After a rather poor showing against the Cowboys last Monday night the Eagles defense showed up on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers and put a beat down on Ben Rothlisberger. The Eagles blitzed and blitzed and kept on blitzing making the day extremely difficult for Rothlisberger or anybody else on the Steelers offense to do anything. They held Steelers RB Willie Parker to just 20 yards rushing, a great job considering running the ball is the Steelers bread and butter. Rothlisberer was sacked 8 times, they could have had a few more sacks but penalties wiped them out. Thhis was a great test against one of the NFL’s more physical teams, and the Eagles passed with flying colors. I would love to see the look on Bears QB Kyle Orton’s face when he watches this game film preparing for the Eagles next week, I bet it would be priceless.
