After the performance of the 5-5-1 Eagles offense the last 2 weeks not too many people are going to give them a chance agains the 7-4 Cardinals on Thanksgiving night. I’ve been to quite a few Eagles – Cardinals games, especially when they where both in the NFC East to know better. It never mattered what there records were, usually the Eagles were the better team, these games almost always came down to the last play. I don’t expect this game to be any different, even with the Eagles offensive problems. There are a few things going in the Eagles favor, the Cardinals are flying east in a short week, teams from the west that have come east haven’t done too well this season, and the Cardinals haven’t done well on the road. After being benched at half time during the Ravens game, personally I think Donovan McNabb will have a good game. What you have to hope for that the Eagles haven’t thrown in the towl, I guess we will know after this game. It looks like it will be up to Sheldon brown and Lito Sheppard to stop Cardinals’ WR’s Anquon Bouldin, and Larry Fitzgerald with Assante Samuel being listed as doubful. Considering the other 2 games on Turkey day, the 10-1 Titans @ the 0-11 Lions, and the 2-9 Seahawks @ the 7-4 Cowboys this could wind up being the best game of the day. I expect to see somewhat of an air war between these teams, with the Eagles coming out on top.
Prediction:
Eagles 38 – Cardinals 34
