Usually in sports after a big come from behind victory there is a letdown in the next game, maybe it was the fact that it was the Penguins, but the Flyers didn’t have a letdown, and beat the Penguins 6-3 on Saturday afternoon. Led by Mike Knuble, (2 goals, #200 for his career) the Flyers held the Penguins in check and moved into second place in the Atlantic Division. Not bad for a team that started the season 0-6. This game saw something rare happen when it comes to the Flyers vs Penguins, Sidney Crosby was kept off the score sheet, don’t remember the last time that happened, they also held Evgeni Mmalkin to 1 assist. The Flyers scored four of their goals on the powerplay, you always like to see that, make them pay for their penalties. Its the first win for the flyers agianst the Penguins this season in three tries. Jeff Carter, Mike Richards, Scott Hartnell, and Joffrey Lupul scored for the Flyers who are now 12-1-3 in their last sixteen games and have now won four in a row. Next up the Colorado Avalanche.
