The Flyers Pull One Out

The Flyers played their last home game before heading out on a 7 game road trip by beating the Ottawa Senators 6-4. The Flyers took a 4-2 lead into the third period only to have the Senators tie it at 4-4. Simone Gagne would get the eventual game winner with 5:30 seconds left to put the Flyers up 5-4. Mike Richards would add an empty net goal with :10 to seal it. Jeff Carter scored his league leading 26th goal, amazing his name isn’t on the All-Star ballot, somehow it was ommitted. Joffrey Lupul, Matt Carle, and Andreas Nodl (1st NHL Goal) also scored. It is the Flyers sixth straight home win.
