The NFL announced its NFL Hall of Fame Class of 2009. This year’s class included 3 defensive players, two offensive players, and one owner. The defensive palyers included former Buffalo Bills DE Bruce Smith, former Pittsburgh Steelers CB Rod Wooodson, and former Kansas City Chiefs LB Derrick Thomas. The Offensive palyers included former Minnesota Vikings G Randall McDaniel, and former Dallas Cowboy WR Bob Hayes. Ralph Wilson, owner of the Buffalo Bills was elected into the Hall of Fame, and at the age of 90, makes him the oldest person ever elected. Former Atlanta Falcons, and Philadelphia Eagles DE Claude Humphrey who was eligible was not elected. Former NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue was denied for the third straight year.
