The Philadelphia Flyers passed their make-up test with the Boston Bruins on Saturday by the score of 4-3 in OT. The Flyers dropped the first game of this home and home on Wednesday night 3-1, and after the first period of Saturday’s game saw them trailing the Bruins by 3-1, allowing the Bruins to score twice within eight seconds late in the first. The Flyers fought back scoring 2 goals in the second period to tie the score at 3-3. After a scoreless third period, the game was settled in OT. In OT the Flyers caught a huge break when Randy Jones’ shot deflected off defenseman Andrew Ference and past goalie Manny Fernandez and into the net to give the Flyers a 4-3 win. It was a huge win since the Flyers since the Flyers had started out 1-3 after the All-Star break.
