The Eagles offseason officially heated up with ESPN’s Michael Smith using an unamed source saying that if the Eagles don’t improve he will ask for a trade, don’t you just love unamed sources? Isn’t it a reporters job to report the FACTS? It wouldn’t seem like a normal offseason unless we had another controversy concerning Donovan McNabb would it? Especially one that starts with a rumor by someone who may or may not exist. Personnaly I’ll stick with what I actually hear the people involved with the story actually say. One of the things I’ve heard Donovan McNabb say is that he wants to retire an Eagle, ok I’ll take his word for it, since I haven’t heard him say anything to the contrary. Even Andy Reid, Joe Banner and Jeffery Lurie have said they want McNabb back, and have given no indication that they have any plans on trading McNabb. Could it happen sure, would it be surprising, maybe a little, but as a fan I really don’t see it happening, and thats going by what I hear from the horses mouth.
P.S. – One more thing, about McNabbs comments on ESPN about the Eagles defense not doing their job, he didn’t throw anybody under the bus since he was just repeating something Brian Dawkins had said during his press conference after the NFC Championship game. Just another fact, look it up.
