Considering how the economy has been there is always sports to try and take your mind off of things, an escape. Over the last six months, since last October its been extremely good to be a sports fan in the state of Pennsylvania, no matter who your favorite teams are. It first started with the Philadelphia Phillies winning the World Series, then it continued with the Pittsburgh Steelers winning the Super Bowl. Now it has carried over to college sports. The Villanova Wildcats a college that sit in the suburbs outside of Philadelphia is going to be playing North Carolina for a shot at the NCAA Championship, personally the winner of this game will be the eventual Champs. Lets not forget about Penn St. Their basketball team will be playing for the N.I.T. Championship against Baylor. Now with the NHL playoffs getting closer their is a chance that either the Pittsburgh Penguins or the Philadelphia Flyers could win the Stanley Cup, preferably the Flyers. That would be wild if that were to happen, so all in all, its good to be a sports fan in Pa.
