There was Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin, Abbott and Costello, Laurel and Hardy and now The Sports Den introduces you to the latest comedy team of Jeff Lurie and Joe Banner. Can anyone take whatever these two guys say anymore seriously without laughing? How else could you describe the latest comments from the mouths of Lurie and Banner? It is absolutely hilarious that Eagles fans and citizen’s of Philly are suppose do believe that according to Lurie and Banner there was some sort of verble agreement between the Eagles and the city concerning the amount of money the Eagles owed the city for luxury boxes. Did anyone really expect former mayor John Street to say yes there was a verbal agreement? Now that Street came out and said there wasn’t one, it will be funnier watching Lurie and Banner try and prove in court there was one. It will be just as funny to see how the Eagles PR Dept. tries to spin this one. Yes it will be funny  to see how the rest of this plays out. The comedy team of Lurie and Banner….they are funny.

P.S. – Maybe the Eagles could ask for a government bailout to repay the $8 million.
