After a day off the Phillies take on the L.A. Dodgers on Tuesday night in a rematch of the 2008 NLCS. The Dodgers come in leadining the NL West with a 22-11 record, while the Phillies are 15-14, 1 game out in the NL East. Considering the way the Phillies pitching staff have been giving up HR’s its a good thing that Manny Ramirez won’t be there, and everybody knows why by now. The Phillies need to pick it up at home since they are 7-10 at Citizen’s Bank Park. They could do that against the Dodgers who come in with an 8-8 road record, so a 3 game sweep isn’t totally out of the question. This is the only appearience the Dodgers make in Philly this season.
