It took extra innings after another blown save by Brad Lidge, he is human, but the Phillies ended their 10 game road trip on Sunday 8-2 by beating the Yankees 4-3 in 11. It was a good pitching matchup between Cole Hamels and C.C. Sabathia and they did not disappoint. Hamels went 6 innings giving up just 2 run son 8  hits, Sabathia went 8 innings giving up 3 runs on 9 hits. Carlos Ruiz had a big day going  3 – 4 and knocking in the winning run in the 11th. the goat of the day had to be Jayson Werth, he went 0-5, striking out 3 times and leaving 5 men on base. It would have been nice to have swept the Yankees but 2 out of 3 will do.
