Wednesday night’s game against the Mets was Cole Hamels first meeting against the Mets since his choking comments about the Mets during the offseason For a time it looked liked the Mets were going to get some revenge against Hamels for those comments, but in the end those comments again rang true. The Mets coughed up a 4-1 lead to the Phillies eventually losing when Chase Utley smacked his second homer of the game in the top of th 11th to give the Phillies a 5-4 win, after Phillies RF Jayson Werth saved the game for the Phillies in the bottom of the 10th with an amazing diving catch. The Phillies also got some help from the Mets in the seventh inning when Carlos Beltran misplayed a sure out into a hit, and David Wright commiting an error allowing the Phils to tie it. Round 7 takes place on Thursday night. Its always good to beat the Mets, but coming from behind to beat them…..Awesome!
