Pedro Martinez makes his debut for the Phillies tonight in Chicago against the Cubs. Personally, I htink it was a mistake singing Martinez, so excuse me for wanting to see Martinez get knocked out of the game in the first inning. No this doesn’t have anything to do with Jamie Moyer being put in the bullpen, that will be another post. Martinez’s best years are behind him, there really wasn’t any reason to bring him in, hasn’t pitched in over a year, spent the last few years with the Mets back and forth from the DL. Now suddenly he is going to come in and return to what form, the Pedro who was with the Red Sox, no, no one is thinking that, or the Pedro who was with the Mets, going with this one. Nothing personal against Pedro he was a great pitcher, just not anymore, and not worth taking a chance on. Now with that said he will probably go out and pitch one hellava game. Not likely.
