The Phillies won their fourth in a row on Friday night taking the first game of a 3 game weekend series with the Atlanta Braves by the score of 3-2. Joe Blanton pitched another good game unfortunately he took a no decision, Blanton hasn’t been getting much run support lately. Chase Utley hit his first home run in the month of August, a two run shot in the fourth inning to give the Phillies a 2-1 lead, the Braves would tie it up in the bottom of the inning. Thats where it stayed until the top of the nineth when Ryan Howard when Ryan Howard homered for the second consecutive game, maybe the big guy is starting to heat up, to put the Phillies up 3-2. Brad Lidge picked up his 22nd save but it was another shakey one, he got the first two outs, then put two runners on base and you had to be thinking here comes blown save #8, but fortunately Raul Ibanez was able to catch the final out in left field. Speaking of catches, Shane Victorino made a couple of web gems in center field.
