First Jim Balsillie wanted to buy the Nashville Predators and move them to somewhere in Canada, the NHL wouldn’t allow it . Then he wanted to buy the Phoenix Coyotes out of bancruptcy and move them again to somewhere in Canada, Hamilton Ontario I think, again the NHL wouldn’t allow it, saying that Balsillie and Coyotes’  owner Jerry Moyes were schemeing to avoid the normal ownership and relocation process. What makes this story funny is the NHL just bid on the team, which makes it look like they are trying to scheme theri way around the Bankrupcy court, then blackmail the city of Glendale into a new lease, by saying if they don’t get one they will be forced to look for a new buyer and move the team somewhere else. The NHL is going to do what they were trying to prevent, moving the Coyotes, now thats funny.
