The big news going into this Penn St. – Ohio St. games was the fact that Iowa lost to Northwestern earlier, giving both teams a chance to win the Big 10. Unfortunately for Penn St. they couldn’t take advantage and lost to the Buckeyes 24-7. The best case scenario for Penn St was to beat Ohio St. and then have Ohio St. beat Iowa next week and they would’ve been in control, that didn’t happen. Now Ohio St. will be in control if they knock off Iowa. It was a tough game in the first half with Ohio St. taking a 10-7 lead into halftime. Buckeye’s QB Terrelle Pryor hit WR Devier Posey on a 62 yd TD pass late in the third quarter to put Ohio St. up 17-7, taking the wind out of Penn St. It was another big game that Penn St. came up on the short end, and not a good way to celebrate Beaver Stadium’s 300th game.
