After getting smacked around Tuesday nught by the Penguins, the Flyers played the Penguins to a 2-2 tie after 65 minutes of hockey. unfortunately for the Flyers the NHL a few years back instituted the shootout. Since tzhe shootout started it hasn’t been very kind to the Flyers, with Thursday night’s shootout loss, the Flyers have now been involved in 40 shootouts, winning 14, and losing 26. Only two teams have less wins in shoootouts than the Flyers, the Calgary Flames, and Ottawa Senators (13). Now considering there still is a lot of hockey left to be played this season, and the way the Flyers have been playing, and they will probably be involved in a few more shootouts, its not hard to figure that the Flyers will eventually be the team in the NHL with the least amount of wins in shootouts.
