The Eagles offseason has officially started and they have a dilema. What to do with their QB situation. Andy Reid has stated that he likes his QB’s and would like to keep all of them, he also stated the Donovan McNabb will be his starting QB in 2010. Is that possible? Here is the dilema, now if the Eagles decide to excersize the option on Vick, not likely, that would give the Eagles 3 QB’s whose contracts expire at the end of the 2010 season. If the Eagles do unload Vick, they still have a dilema. Think back to the Green Bay Packers situation with Favre and Rodgers, the Eagles have the same thing only with a twist. Kevin Kolb according to Reid is the QB of the future, now are they going to sign him to a contract extension before he becomes the fulltime starter? They would almost have to considering the Eagles gave up their 1st round pick to the Cowboys, who drafted Anthony Spencer, then drafted Kolb in the 2nd round, thats the twist, which means will they give Kolb starters money to be a back up? Will they sign Kolb to a 1yr extension, and wait until the end of the 2011 season for a long term deal? Which would mean McNabb would be their starter in 2010, then be gone? It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
