The first week of baseball is in the books and MLB announced its Players of the Week. So here are the first winners of the Player of the Week for the week of 4/4 to 4/11.
National League Player of the Week:
Roy Halladay, Philadelphia Phillies – Halladay went 2-0, with a 0.56 ERA, 17 strikeouts, 16 innings pitched, 1 complete game. He also managed to pick up his 150th career win, and also went over the 1500 mark in career strikeouts.
American League Player of the Week
Miguel Cabrera, Detroit Tigers – Cabrera went 12-23 (.522) 2 HR’s, 8 RBI’s 6 runs scored, he had a .738 slugging percentage, and an On Base pecentage of .621
