National League: David Freese, St. Louis Cardinals – Freese hit .462 (12-26), with 11 BBI’s and 3 HR’s for the week.

American League: Paul Konerko, Chicago White Sox – Konerko hit .316 (6-19) with 4 HR’s and 10 RBI’s.

April

National League: Kelly Johnson, Arizona Diamondbacks – Johnson hit .313 with 9 HR’s, 8 Doubles, and 18 RBI’s in 22 games in April.

American League: Robinson Cano, New York Yankees – Cano hit .400, with 8 HR’s, 18 RBI’s, and scored 21 runs in April.  

                                           MLB Pitcher of the Month

National League:  Ubaldo Jimenez, Colorado Rockies – Jimenez went 5-0, 0.79 ERA, allowed only 3 ER’s in 34 1/3 innings, and threw a no-hitter in April.

American League: Francisco Liriano, Minnesota Twins – Liriano went 3-0, with a 0.93 ERA in April.
