No one can honestly say they saw this coming when Jamie Moyer took the mound for the Phillies on Friday night. No one can say they were going to see a little history in the making. Thats what happened, Jamie Moyer became the oldest pitcher in MLB history to throw a complete game shutout, at the age of 47. Moyer threw a master piece at the Atlanta Braves, a 2 hit, complete game shutout in the Phillies 7-0 win over the Braves. The old man proves again that he still has some gas left in the tank. What makes this entry into the reciord books more special, is the fact that this record may never be broken, at least not in my lifetime, then again I never thought I would see it happen in my lifetime to begin with. Congrats Jamie.
