It would have been nice to have stolen a game in Chicago, but it didn’t happen so now the Flyers are down 2-0. Should Flyers fans be worried? NO. If the Flyers can play the next two games against the Blackhawks the way they played the third period in game 2 then this series is going back to Chicago tied 2-2. If you noticed the Blackhawks were playing scared in that third period, and that is a good sign. Here’s a shorts list of reasons, some odd, why you shouldn’t consider the Flyers dead just yet.

1. The Blackhawks are a good team, not a scary team they are beatable.

2. The Flyers have gotten off to a slow star just like the Bruins series because they had too much time off, and by the looks of the third period in game 2 they have gotten their skating legs back. Didn’t look like the Blackhawks could hanlde that did it?

3. The third times a charm theory, in the Bruins series the Flyers became just the third team to come from down 3-0 to win a series. Guess what, the Flyers could be only the third team to come from down 2-0 in the Finals to win the Cup. It would be the Flyers third Stanley Cup. Marion Hossa has to lose in the Finals for the third straight time so the Blackhawks can start to regret signing him to a 12 year contract.

4. The Chicago Blackhawks had a 2-0 lead  agianst the Canadiens in the 1971 Finals and lost to the Canadiens in 7. So history could be made and repeated.

Here’s hoping we’re not wrong.
