Philadelphia fans need a pick me up after the Eagles were bounced from the playoffs by the Packers, and the Mets Angel Pagan may have given it to them. There is nothing wrong with trying to show confidence in your team but considering that the Mets, as far as The Sports Den knows, still doesn’t have a G.M or a manager, saying “if healthy the Mets could give the Phillies a fight”. That might be going way out on a limb. Just consider the starting rotations for each team, the Mets have Johan Santana, and can’t think of anyone else off the top of my head, while the Phillies on the other hand have Halladay, Lee, Hamels, and Oswalt. The Mets and Phillies play 18 times during the season, and no The Sports Den doesn’t think the Phillies will win all 18 against the Mets, but we sure as hell don’t think they will lose too many against them considering the state of the Mets. Stay tuned.This is going to be a fun Phillies season.
