The NHL has decided not to discipline the Bruins Zdeno Chara any further after reviewing the video from his hit on the Canadiens Max Pacioretty . NHL Senior Vice President of Hockey Operations Mike Murphy released a statement saying he couldn’t find anything in the video that would deem Chara’s hit as dangerous. Pacioretty suffered a concussion and cracked vertebra from being slammed into a glass partician, and is out indefinetly. According to a report on ESPN.com, the Montreal Police have opened a criminal investigation into Chara’s hit. In an understandable move, but probably a useless one, Air Canada has threatened to pull its sponsorship of the NHL unless the NHL tightens its rules to reduce potentially serious injuries.
