Its time for The Sports Den to try its hand at predicting how the NFC South will end up. This division will probably come down to two teams, the Saints and Falcons. So The Sports Den is going to flip a coin to pick the winner of this division. The Sports Den sees this division ending up in the same order again this year.
NFC South 2011 Final Standings
1. Atlanta Falcons – It wasn’t hard to go with the team that won the division last year with a 13-3 record. The Sports Den only sees one reason why the Falcons won’t win this division again and its the New Orleans Saints. So we flipped a coin and the Falcons won. (12-4)
2. New Orleans Saints – The Saints will give the Falcons a run for their money for the division title, but we see it ending up the same way with the Falcons first and Saints second. (11-5)
3. Tampa Bay Buuccaneers – Are the Buccaneers really that good as last years 10-6 record would say? Not sure, but The Sports Den is sure their not good enough yet to beat out the Falcons or Saints for this division. So its another third place finish for the Bucs. (9-7)
4. Carolina Panthers – The Panthers finished last season with a 2-14 record and there is no reason to say they are going to be better this season. Its quite possible that they could go 0-16 this season, with a new coach and a new QB in Cam Newton. They might squeak out one win this season just not sure who it will be against. (1-15).
