According to NFL.com the Philadelphia Eagles and QB Michael Vick have agreed to a six year $100 million contract, with $40 million guaranteed. This is a surprising contract since the Eagles were always dead set against signing players over the age of thirty to long term contracts like this one, but Joe Banner has an answer for that;
Eagles president Joe Banner has said that signing Vick to a long-term cap-friendly deal would make it easier to sign Pro Bowl wide receiver DeSean Jackson, who enters the 2011 season on the final year of a four-year deal that pays him the league fourth-year minimum of $600,000 this year.
Does he really deserve this contract?
