Its being reported that Bill Burke, founder of the Los Angeles Marathon has made a $1.2 billion offer to Frank McCourt to buy the Los Angeles Dodgers. If you remember the McCourts went through a nasty divorce, and MLB had to step in to run the Dodgers. Now you maybe asking why a Phillies fan would care about the sale of the Dodgers? The Sports Den wouldn’t care except the article makes it sound like the foreign investers are actually the Chinese government;

Specifics weren’t given on the foreign investors except to characterize them as “certain state-owned investment institutions of the People’s Republic of China,” the newspaper reports.
