The Phillies avoided  a sweep at the hands of the worst team in baseball, Houston Astros, and clinched their fifth consecutive appearance in the playoffs with a 1-0 wein over the Astros. Roy Halladay picked up his eighteenth win, a six hit complete game shut out, his first shutout of the year, should it be any other way. The magic nomber for the division is now 4 which the Phillies should be able to reach by the end of this weekend.
