The biggest sports flop in 2011 has to go to the Boston Red Sox. They started the month with a 9 game lead in the AL Wild card race, pretty much locked up, but then fell apart and fell out of the playoffs, That must have been horrible for Red Sox’ fans to watch, a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the nineth, two out nobody on, and then wham, Orioles win and we know the rest. Phillies fans are thankfull since the Red Sox now have the biggest collapse, sometimes contenders turn into pretenders. Some advice from a Philly Sports fan, there’a always next season.
