NHL Hockey is back and the Flyers were up in Boston to take on the defending Stanley Cup Champ Bruins. There were pregame ceremonies, that went just a tad too long, as the Bruins hung their Stanley Cup Banner, but in the end the Flyers celebrated with a 2-1 win. It was a good test for the Flyers after all of their off season moves, and they passed. The Bruins had a 1-0 lead going into the final minute of the first period when goals by Claude Giroux, and newcomer Jakub Voracek gave the Flyers the lead that another newcomer goalie Ilya Bryzgalov made stand up. Its only one game in a long season, but its a good start. One more thing, as this season goes on it looks like its going to be fun watching Claude Giroux, and Jaromir Jagr.
