The Flyers hung on to beat the Vancouver Canucks 5-4 to improve to 3-0, it is the eleventh time in team history they started 3-0.  The Flyer have now beaten both of last season Stanley Cup finalist in their first three games, that’s pretty impressive. Hats off to Ilya Bryzgalov for preventing the Canucks from tying the game while the Flyers spent the last five an a half minutes short handed. Claude Giroux continued his hot start with a goal and an assist.
