The Flyers ended their drought in Ottawa by handing the Senators their fifth loss of the season with a 7-2 butt kicking. Flyers rookie Matt Read led the way with a goal and three assists, and fellow rookies Sean Courturier, and Harrison Zolnierczyk scored their first NHL goals. The Flyers jumped out to a 4-0 lead after one period and never looked back while improving to 4-0-1 on the season, Bob the goalie picked up his first win of the season, and the Senators fell to 1-5-0.
