Its official, with the Flyers 4-1 win over the Montreal Canadiens the have clinched a spot in the NHL Playoffs. It’s the sixteenth time in the last seventeen seasons that the Flyers have made the playoffs, fifth staright since missing the playoffs in 2006/07. Kimmo Timonen, Danny Briere (2) warming up for the playoffs, and Matt Read scored for the Flyers. The Flyers improve to 44-23-8, and pull within 2 points of the fourth place Penguins.  The Canadiens drop to 29-34-13, and have been officially knocked out of the playoffs by the Sabres beating the Wild, this won’t go over well in Montreal.
