What’s the old saying, if at first you don’t succeed try, try, again? That’s what Danny Briere did in OT for the Flyers. The first goal by Briere in OT was waved off for kicking it in, but a few minutes later he would score again and this one would stand, and the Flyers beat the Devils in game 1 4-3. it was rather obvious the Flyers were just a little rusty in the first period, after they got their legs back they took over the game, even though the score doesn’t show it. A win is a win and the Flyers take a 1-0 lead in the series.
