The Phillies snapped a three game losing streak by beating the San Diego Padres 7-3 on Friday night. Vance Worely picked up his third win of the season pitching six innings, and giving up three runs on six hits, with nine strikeouts and two walks, while the bullpen didn’t find a way to lose the game. Offensively Carlos Ruiz and John Mayberry Jr. both hit two run homers and had three RBI’s. The Phillies improved to 15-18 with the win and the Padres dropped to 11-22 with the loss.
