This game by Cole Hamels was the exact opposite of the perfection Matt Cain threw at the Houston Astros. After being spotted a 6-0 lead after the top of the first, and a 9-3 lead after the top of the fourth, Cole Hamels allowed the Twins to make a game of it allowing 7 runs in six innings, allowing what should have been an easy win into a nail biter. Jim Thome, and John Mayberry Jr.had 4 RBI’s each. Jonathan Papelbon picked up his 17th save, and the Phillies snapped a three game losing streak,and improved to 30-34.
