The Joe Blanton that Phillies fans don’t usually made a surprise appearance in Minnesota on Thursday night, and did his part in the Phillies 6-1 win over the Twins by giving the bullpen a much needed night off pitching a complete game ( 9 IP, 7H, 1R, 7K).  Jim Thome homered for the third straight game, and had 9 RBI’s against the Twins.Here’s a little piece of useless info, with one more homer in a Phillies uniform Jim Thome will become just the fourth player in baseball history to hit 100 home runs with three diferent teams (Indians, White Sox, Phillies). The Phillies improve to 31-34 with the win and the Twins drop to 25-37.
