The NCAA on Wednesday banned 10 teams from competing in the 2013 NCAA Tournament due to poor academic scores. The classroom work of every Division 1 team is measured by something called the APR ( Academic Progress Rate), scores. Schools are measured over a four year period, this years results cover 2007-08 to 2010-11. Schools need a score of 900 over the four years to make the cut off, if not this happens. If you follow the NCAA Tournament, and who doesn’t, you’ve probably heard of these teams, especially the first one.
