The Phillies officially started the second half of the season taking on the Mets with a 36-45 record. Since it doesn’t look like they will be able to catch the Nationals, their only hope of making the playoffs at is is the second wild card spot. Here is the first of many weekly updates on where the Phillies stand in the wild card standings, at least until they either win it or are eliminted. Tuesday night’s game against the Mets is not included in the standings.
